Ustadha Hanan Taha

Hanan Taha al-Azhariah al-Hasaniah was born into a family  whose lineage goes back to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) in the northern Egyptian governorate of Monofiyyah, in the Nile Delta. Many great scholars of Islam have come from this governorate including the likes of Shaykh al-Islam Ibrahim al-Bayjouri, Imam Tajuddin al-Subki and Taqiyuddin al-Subki, Shaykh al-Islam al-Shanawani, The Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Shaykh al-Quweisney and many others.

Hanan completed the memorisation of the Holy Qur’an at the tender age of ten, after which she commenced the Qira’at program.  She then went on to study Arabic and the Islamic sciences with focus on Arabic grammar and balagha(rhetoric) at the hands of the President of al-Azhar University, Professor al-Mahrasawy and Shaykh Faozi Konati. She graduated from al-Azhar with a specialisation in Qur’anic Sciences in 2022.

She has a number of ijazat (teaching licences) in the various Islamic sciences: Arabic, Qur’an, Hadith, Tajwid, and Spirituality.
