Hajj – A Practical Guide for Pilgrims

LIVING ISLAM SERIES

“And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind, for him who can find a way there.” [Qur'an 3:97]

The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “An umrah is an expiation of the sins committed until the next umrah whilst an accepted hajj is not rewarded except with paradise”. [Bukhari, Muslim]

We are running this short course for the fourth year. It provides a comprehensive guide to Hajj for those travelling this year. As well as equipping you with the necessary fiqh-based knowledge, according to the Hanafi madhab, you will also acquire ample practical advice to make your Hajj  a beneficial experience, and a journey of a lifetime.

OPEN TO BOTH MEN AND WOMEN

Topics covered:

Preparing for Hajj: Purpose and intentions; Rules of Ihram; Rites of Umrah; Getting around Makkah and the Sacred Sites of Makkah; Stay in Mina; Arafat; Muzdalifah; Ramy; Removal of Ihram; Tawaf al-Ziyarah; Ramy and last days in Mina; Tawaf al-Wada’; Travelling to and taking benefit from Madinah

Testimonials from previous course participants:

“This course was delivered very professionally and I was very impressed.”

“This course offered very practical advice not just fiqh rulings which is just as important.”
