Refurbishment Fund

Over the last 10 years, the Foundation has been instrumental in providing religious guidance to our communities in the Yorkshire region allowing children and adults to access traditional learning in the English language. One of the unique features of our work has been bringing traditionally trained scholars to our communities on a full-time basis.

We have recently acquired our new premises and are fundraising to fully refurbish the 1890 Victorian church.

Please donate to this unique project and help us to continue this work. Abu Zahra is an independent organisation which relies on generous contributions from people like you.

You can assist by making a lump sum payment or setting up a standing order yourself and encouraging friends and family to do the same.

Shaad Construction Ltd, based in Nelson were appointed in November 2012 to carry out the all the refurbishment works based on price and the quality of workmanship of the contractor and its sub-contractors. Works commenced in February 2013.

Full architect’s drawings for all the refurbishment work available to view on our Facebook page

To date we have completed substantial works on the Lower, Ground and Mezzanine Floors.
