This course is designed for students who can recite the Qur’an fluently but without correct pronunciation and the application of the rules of Tajwid. Beginning with the short chapters in Juzz ‘Amma, the teacher will recite the Sura correctly pointing out the most common mistakes and read collectively as a group to further embed the correct pronunciation.
Each week, the student will then read their designated portion individually and have the mistakes corrected. The teacher will provide a weekly report card for mistakes made which will allow further practice and elimination of the mistakes.
The course is designed to allow students to progress at their own pace. The student, with the teacher’s guidance, can choose to recite one or more surahs per week and their progress is dependent on their performance as well as the teacher input. It is very normal for students to take the same level of tajweed multiple times to receive the ijazah.
